Pentalocus extends the practice of network music at five universities for a concert of new multi-site telematic music compositions. The project uses high bandwidth, low latency networks to multicast multichannel audio and video to produce a single event in multiple international locations at the same point in time.

Pentalocus uses open-source streaming technology co-developed by Jason Ponce and others to build on collaborations between University of California San Diego, New York University, and Stanford University, and past work with Queens University Belfast, Concordia University, and the Hamburg Hochschule of Music.
